Lindsay Lohan has given birth to her first child with husband Bader Shammas, a son named Luai. The baby was born in Dubai, where the couple lives, although his exact birth date was not immediately made known. Luai is an Arabic name that means “shield” or “protector.”

A rep for Lohan confirmed the news to People Magazine and Good Morning America in a statement on Monday: “Lindsay Lohan and her financier husband, Bader Shammas, welcomed a beautiful, healthy son named Luai. The family is over the moon in love.”

Lohan and Shammas became engaged in November 2021 and she referred to him as her “husband” on social media in July 2022. The actress announced her pregnancy in March, sharing an Instagram post featuring a photo of a baby onesie emblazoned with the words “coming soon” and writing in the caption: “We are blessed and excited!”
