Netflix is gearing up for the next chapter of Beef, created by Lee Sung Jin and produced by A24, by offering a first look at Season 2.  The anthology series continues with eight new episodes, all dropping April 16 on Netflix.

The upcoming season shifts focus to the emotional strain of relationships at different stages, zeroing in on how love and marriage can fracture under pressure. This time, the story centers on two couples whose lives collide in messy and unexpected ways.

A newly released trailer—set to “Punching in a Dream” by The Naked and Famous—opens with Carey Mulligan and Cailee Spaeny sharing a candid conversation at an upscale country club, where Oscar Isaac’s character works as a general manager. Tensions escalate when another couple captures a volatile argument between Mulligan and Isaac’s characters, setting off a chain reaction that entangles all four. As the fallout unfolds, the characters vie for influence with the club’s powerful owner, Chairwoman Park, played by Youn Yuh-jung, who is grappling with a scandal of her own involving her husband.

Season 2 will also expand its ensemble cast with actors including Charles Melton, Song Kang-ho, William Fichtner, and Mikaela Hoover.

The first season of Beef debuted in 2023, starring Steven Yeun and Ali Wong. It followed two strangers whose road rage encounter spiraled into obsession. The series became a critical hit, earning multiple Emmy Awards, including Best Limited Series and acting wins for its leads.
