NBC has officially locked in raw coaches for the 30th season of The Voice, with country singer Riley Green and iconic rap star Queen Latifah set to make their debut as coaches, joining returning favorites Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine.

Season 29 saw Clarkson, Levine and John Legend as the three coaches. Season 30 will also feature special appearances from former coaches and mentors, with the milestone season bringing the competition series back to its classic four-coach setup after Season 29 experimented with a three-coach “Battle of Champions” format.  The network said in a press release; “In a nod to the franchise’s landmark 30th anniversary, this season will feature surprises along the way, with special appearances from former coaches and mentors, callbacks to memorable moments and more.”

Green’s addition marks his first time occupying one of the show’s signature red chairs. The country star has become a major force in the genre with songs including “There Was This Girl,” “I Wish Grandpas Never Died,” and the Thomas Rhett duet “Half Of Me,” with recent collaborations with artists Luke Combs and Ella Langley further elevating his profile. Green posted on Instagram: “I guess y’all can start calling me coach… see ya this fall. @nbcthevoice #thevoice”

In addition to her new gig on ‘The Voice,’ Queen Latifah is slated to host the 2026 American Music Awards, which will air live from Las Vegas on Memorial Day (May 25), and will also be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this November

Clarkson returns after sitting out part of 2026, with Season 30 marking her 11th run as a coach on the series, where she has already earned four victories — the most of any female coach in the show’s history. Announcing her comeback online, the show posted: “Team Kelly has RE-entered the chat. Kelly Clarkson returns as a Coach this fall on The Voice!”

Levine will also continue his renewed run on the show after rejoining in Season 29. The Maroon 5 singer has won the competition four times across his long tenure and recently shared his excitement about staying involved, saying, “I will be back,” and adding that he has been “having so much fun doing it.”

Veteran host Carson Daly is expected to return as well. NBC has not yet announced an official premiere date for the anniversary season, which is expected sometime this fall.
