Disney revealed that Hayden Christensen will reprise his role of Anakin Skywalker in the second season of the Star Wars series, Ahsoka.

The news was originally announced at Disney Celebration 2025 in Tokyo during a panel between series star Rosario Dawson, creator Dave Filoni and executive producer Jon Favreau. Christensen emerged from off-stage to join the trio for the discussion, waiting until the last moments of the panel to announce his return to the “Star Wars” universe (via The Hollywood Reporter).

Christensen played the younger version of the iconic Darth Vader in 2002’s Star Wars: Episode II — Attack of the Clones and 2004’s Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith, as well as the Disney+ series, Obi-Wan Kenobi. His appearances in Season 1 of Ahsoka were in a digitally de-aged form.

Dawson plays the titular heroine in the series, with Variety stating that ‘Game of Thrones’ alum Rory McCann is also joining the cast to replace the late Ray Stevenson in the role of Jedi Baylan Skol.
