The first trailer for The End of Oak Street has been released, offering a look at the upcoming supernatural thriller starring Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor.
Directed by David Robert Mitchell, the film follows a married couple whose lives are upended after a mysterious force begins targeting them. Hathaway plays Megan, while McGregor portrays her husband, Frank. Their seemingly ordinary suburban existence takes a disturbing turn when an unexplained presence enters their lives, triggering a series of increasingly dangerous and surreal events.
The trailer opens with a tranquil depiction of a quiet American neighborhood on Oak Street before a sudden, reality-bending celestial occurrence completely uproots the area. According to the studio’s official logline, “After a mysterious cosmic event rips Oak Street from suburbia and transports their neighborhood to someplace unknown, the Platt family soon discovers that their very survival depends on them sticking together as they navigate their now unrecognizable surroundings.”
The cast of “The End of Oak Street” also includes Lakeith Stanfield, Michaela Coel, Ayo Edebiri, Nicholas Braun and Jessica Henwick, and is scheduled to debut internationally on August 12 – followed by its domestic theatrical release on August 14. See the trailer: HERE.
