Stellan Skarsgård will star alongside Dakota Fanning in an upcoming Apple TV international thriller from writer-producer Alex Cary, known for Homeland and A Spy Among Friends.
Fanning will play a U.S. Treasury agent working undercover inside a multibillion-dollar conglomerate run by Skarsgård’s character, Brandt. As her mission unfolds, she grapples with conflicting loyalties, questioning whether Brandt, heir to immense corrupt power, may be inherently good and deserving of her trust.
Cary is the showrunner and executive producer through his FLW Productions deal with Sony Pictures Television. The series also has executive producers Julie Gardner (Bad Wolf America), Dakota and Elle Fanning, Brittany Kahan Ward (Lewellen Pictures), and Kari Skogland, who will direct.
Skarsgård, fresh off his Golden Globe win and Academy Award nomination for Sentimental Value, previously acted alongside Dakota’s sister, Elle Fanning, in the same film.
