The official trailer for the Tim Burton-directed Beetlejuice Beetlejuice has arrived, which sees the sequel to the 1988 cult film feature three generations of Deetzes having to deal with Beetlejuice.

The trailer features Michael Keaton’s return to the iconic role, alongside OG cast members Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara in their roles as Lydia and Delia Deetz.  Newcomers joining the new film include Jenna Ortega as Lydia’s daughter, Astrid, as well as Willem Dafoe, Monica Bellucci and Justin Theroux.

A press release for the film reads: “After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble brewing in both realms, it’s only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice’s name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem.”

The new trailer gives viewers a first-look at Dafoe’s Wolf Jackson, a B-list movie actor who died and became a cop in the Afterlife; and Bellucci’s Delores, Beetlejuice’s zombified – but fabulous – wife.
