Chris Pratt is back in action as Navy SEAL Commander James Reece in newly released first-look images from Season 2 of Prime Video’s “The Terminal List,” giving fans their first substantial glimpse at the long-awaited continuation of the military thriller. The eight-episode season is scheduled to premiere Oct. 21, with all episodes arriving simultaneously on the streaming service.
Season 2 is based on Jack Carr’s second James Reece novel, “True Believer,” and picks up after the events of the first season, which premiered in 2022. The new chapter shifts the story beyond Reece’s personal quest for vengeance and into a broader international conspiracy, with the character drawn into a dangerous mission spanning multiple locations. Prime Video has described the new season as a larger-scale continuation of Reece’s story, while Pratt has indicated that it will feature more expansive action and heightened psychological stakes.
The returning cast includes Constance Wu as journalist Katie Buranek, along with Tom Hopper, Dar Salim and Luke Hemsworth. Season 2 also expands the ensemble with Gabriel Luna, Costa Ronin, Olga Kurylenko, Yul Vazquez, Arnold Vosloo and Shiraz Tzarfati. Pratt continues to serve as an executive producer alongside Antoine Fuqua, David DiGilio and Carr.
The series follows Reece after his platoon is ambushed during a covert operation, setting him on a violent path as he uncovers forces operating behind the scenes. The first season concluded Reece’s initial revenge mission, while “True Believer” moves the character into a new phase of his life and career. The franchise also expanded with the prequel “The Terminal List: Dark Wolf,” starring Taylor Kitsch, which brought additional characters and elements of Carr’s world to Prime Video.
