Netflix has released the trailer for the second season of Guy Ritchie’s crime drama The Gentlemen, offering a preview of a new chapter that raises the stakes for Eddie Horniman and Susie Glass as they expand their criminal operation beyond Britain. Variety also confirmed that the series has officially been greenlit for Season 3, , comprised of eight episodes. The show is due to go into production on Season 3 imminently.
Season 2 of ‘The Gentlemen’ will return Sept. 3, with the latest footage showing Theo James’ Eddie embracing his role at the center of the organization after the events of the first season The second season begins roughly a year after the previous installment, with Eddie and Susie firmly established within Bobby Glass’ criminal empire. However, Bobby’s increasingly unpredictable behavior threatens to undermine their plans just as they attempt to grow their influence overseas. The preview emphasizes shifting alliances, escalating violence and a larger-scale operation, while maintaining the sharp humor and stylish action that have become hallmarks of the series.
James and Kaya Scodelario reprise their lead roles alongside returning cast members Ray Winstone, Daniel Ings, Joely Richardson, Vinnie Jones, Giancarlo Esposito and Pearce Quigley. The new season also introduces several additions to the ensemble, including Hugh Bonneville, Chris Eubank Jr. and Maya Jama, who makes her scripted Netflix acting debut. Brief moments in the teaser showcase Jama’s character interacting with Eddie before later appearing armed with a shotgun, teasing her involvement in the expanding underworld drama.
